Appeal for Izabelle Evans which I am sure most of you are aware is raising monies to send Izabelle to China to receive pioneering sight giving surgery involving stem cell treatment. Izabelle who is two years old was born blind due to a rare congenital defect, septo-optic dysplasia, which affects one in five million babies. Although her eyes do function, her brain does not pick up the signals to allow her to see.

Havant Bereavement Care Group have been helping local adults and children for over twenty years. As a voluntary organisation they receive no public funding for equipment, training or administration and work on a one-to-one basis, depending on the specific needs of people, many of which have been referred from their local Doctors surgeries. This Group works to no time restrictions and are willing to be called upon at any time. We would like to assist them with the training of new Councillors and helping towards purchasing equipment for the children’s groups.

Canine Partners for Life trains and places assistance dogs with individuals with mobility impairments to help increase their independence and quality of life. They have several types of assistance dogs in their programme, including service dogs, seizure alert dogs, home companions and residential (community) companions.
